We had some great events, and we are glad to fill you in on what we have coming up this September. In preparation for winter, we're excited to be taking part in a number of great events that will support feeding fellow Calgarians!

Garden of Eat'n Harvest

The Begg family, once again, is generously donating their entire crop of farm-fresh produce at the Garden of Eat'n to the Calgary Food Bank. This project has raised hundreds of thousands of fresh fruits and vegetables to Food Bank clients. For more information, contact Nicolle Amyotte:

PetSmart Chinook Centre - Pet Food Drive

City-Wide Food Drive

The annual city-wide food drive is back again this year, and looking to reclaim the record for most food collected in a 24-hour period, a record that owned by the Calgary Food Bank in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008. The goal is to collect 560,000 pounds of food! Watch Calgary come together as a city and rise to the challenge. Look for their bags and flyers on your doorstep!

The Tuscany Community Association is throwing their 3rd annual Harvest Festival! Free admission for all Tuscany residents, Calgarians coming from near and far is encouraged to bring donations for the Calgary Food Bank!

Transalta Retirees Garden Harvest

The Transalta Retirees are hosting a garden harvest event on Tuesday, September 23rd, when they will be filling a 5-ton truck with fresh produce for the clients of the Calgary Food Bank!

The Cliff Bungalow - Mission Community is hosting this daylong event to bring together family, friends, and the community to celebrate harvest and heritage while enjoying music, food, and other fun activities. The event is inspired by the belief that when people join together they can have a major part in helping the development of different sorts of projects and ventures. The "Fresh From the Heart" project at the Calgary Food Bank will be accepting fresh produce donations and canned goods to support Calgarians in need.
