Calgary to Celebrate Turkish Culture with Three-Day Festival

Member of Parliament Devinder Shory announces support for the Calgary Turkish Festival


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - April 8, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada will provide the Burc Intercultural Centre with $5,000 in funding through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to present the 8th Calgary Turkish Festival. Devinder Shory, Member of Parliament (Calgary Northeast), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Calgary Turkish Festival is an annual gathering that celebrates and shares Turkish culture with Calgary's residents and visitors. Activities will include demonstrations of traditional Turkish and Bulgarian dancing and musical performances by a variety of local artists.
