California Bank of Commerce Sponsors The Presidents Cup on KNBR

LAFAYETTE, CA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - California Bank of Commerce (OTCBB: CABC), a unique commercial bank in the San Francisco Bay Area targeting closely held businesses and professionals, announced today its sponsorship of The Presidents Cup on KNBR. The eighth Presidents Cup will be contested at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco in 2009 and KNBR 680 and 1050 will be providing radio coverage of the event. The Presidents Cup was developed to give the world's best non-European players an opportunity to compete in international team match-play competition. San Francisco is only the second U.S. city selected to host the bi-annual event and the first location on the West Coast.

The Presidents Cup will feature some of the biggest names in golf. The U.S. Team includes Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, and Jim Furyk among other top money winners on the Tour. The International Team features Geoff Ogilvy, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Ernie Els and the 2009 PGA Championship winner Y. E. Yang among others.

The Presidents Cup follows the PGA TOUR creed of giving back. There is no purse for the players. Net revenues are divided into equal shares that the players and captains designate for charities or golf-related projects of their choice. The first seven Presidents Cups generated more than $17 million for charities worldwide, including a record $4.2 million donation from the 2007 event.

"California Bank of Commerce is proud to be part of this great event. It is a terrific opportunity for golf fans to see the best in the game while helping to raise money for well deserving charitable organizations," said John Rossell, President and CEO of California Bank of Commerce.
