SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - April 04, 2013) - Red Tower Capital, Inc., a California real estate investment firm specializing in private lending, announced that it received approval from the California Department of Corporations to launch its new investment fund, Red Tower Capital II, LLC. The fund is a successor to the firm's previous mortgage fund, Red Tower Capital I, LLC.
"Many investors have little exposure to real estate and want to participate. This fund allows them to diversify into alternative investments, without the burden of active management or property maintenance," explains Co-Founder and Principal Solomon Gorlick.
The fund will target carefully underwritten and well-collateralized local real estate loans and is expected to deliver high risk-adjusted yields with low relative volatility. Typical loans will be secured against single family homes and small residential and commercial properties in Northern California, with loan-to-value ratios of 70% or less. Income will be distributed quarterly. The fund intends to provide strong relative returns as well as simplicity and convenience.
"The firm was started as a response to tight bank lending practices during the recession. Those same conditions continue today, providing rewarding opportunities," says Gorlick. "We believe the fund will appeal to investors looking to diversify their portfolio and earn steady income with relatively low risk."
The fund will be managed by Red Tower Capital's principals, who have over 40 years of combined real estate experience, including mortgage banking, various local real estate investment and development activities and all aspects of private lending.
Membership interests are now being offered to qualified investors. The fund is open to California residents only.
