Calitri Named General Manager of Fueled By Ramen

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 1, 2006 -- Joe Calitri has joined Fueled By Ramen Records as the label's first General Manager, it was announced today by FBR co-founder John Janick. Calitri, who was most recently with Island Def Jam Music Group, will oversee Fueled By Ramen's day-to-day activities, with concentration on the label's marketing initiatives.

In making the announcement, John Janick commented: "We are happy to have Joe in our family. The climate of our industry requires us to constantly come up with fresh, innovative ideas to market our artists, and to be able to act quickly to launch and develop creative campaigns. Joe Calitri comes to Fueled By Ramen following a seven-year stint at the Island Def Jam Music Group in New York, where he was most recently Vice President of Field Marketing. Prior to IDJ, Calitri began his career with Polygram Group Distribution, first as a Field Marketing Rep in San Francisco in 1995-96, and then as Artist Development Rep in Seattle.

Calitri holds a BS degree in Business from Northeastern University, where he also served as a College Rep for Polygram.
