Call for Media Credential Requests to Cover Anniversary Weekend

Highlights of America's 400th Anniversary, May 11-13, Include International Dignitaries and National Headliner Entertainers Honoring America's First Permanent English Settlement

WILLIAMSBURG, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 4, 2007 -- America's 400th Anniversary has generated intense national and international media interest. With so many requests to cover Anniversary Weekend on May 11-13 in Jamestown, Va. the following credential request procedure has been developed for journalists wishing to cover the event.

The planners of America's 400th Anniversary will accommodate as many requests as practical for the three-day weekend, but media access will be limited to working press only. Also, be aware that strict security measures will be in place. Bags, cases, vehicles and other reporting gear will be subject to search by law enforcement officials at any time during the event.

Media credentials will be distributed only to working members of the media for the express purpose of covering America's Anniversary Weekend. Only those individuals/organizations with a legitimate working function will be issued media credentials. In acceptance of the credential, the bearer and employer agree that the bearer is a bona-fide agent of the media outlet and will be using the credential for its intended use. Misuse of media credentials for any other purpose will result in immediate revocation of the credential and may result in denial of future credential requests for BOTH the bearer and employer.

Visit http://www.jamestown2007.org/anniversary-weekend-media.cfm to fill out an online request form for America's Anniversary Weekend media credentials.

Please note, submitting an online request form does not guarantee the issue of media credentials. All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and Jamestown 2007 may contact you for additional supporting documentation before issuing media credentials. Jamestown 2007 reserves the right to deny any applicant a media pass. Journalists who receive passes should note that these may be revoked at Jamestown 2007's discretion. If your request for credentials is approved, additional information will be emailed to the contact email address listed on the online request form with details about media access for the May 11-13 event.
