Call Genie Announces Release of EVD'TM' 5.1 in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 4, 2007) - Call Genie Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GNE) announced today that it has released the latest version of it's Enhanced Voice Directory (EVD™) software, which provides voice-enabled access to Yellow Pages listings by category and location. The Yellow Pages Group's HelloYellow™ service is now using this advanced platform.

EVD™ 5.1's primary feature is the inclusion of requisite data for cities in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. HelloYellow™ is currently "live" from Ottawa to Victoria and in every major market in between with a population of 50,000 or greater.

Powered by advanced speech recognition and text-to-speech technology from Nuance Communications (NASDAQ:NUAN), EVD 5.1 offers callers a dynamic and friendly speech-enabled experience with accurate and efficient recognition of even the largest listing databases. The solution offers industry-leading category search functionality and robust business category matching techniques for expanded locality searching. Additional features to EVD™ 5.1 include a large number of category and grammar improvements that will enhance the caller experience, as well as the introduction of SLR™, Smart Location Refinement, which builds intelligence into the application so that additional search refinement will only be asked if relevant or would make a difference in the search.

It is the Company's expectation that the HelloYellow™ service will eventually connect ready-to-spend consumers with merchants across Canada in both English and French.
