Callcredit Launches New Manual Tracing Capability-Retriever

LEEDS, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Aug. 13, 2014) - Callcredit Information Group has today (13th August) launched a new manual tracing product - 'Retriever'.

Retriever uses big data searching technology and knowledge graphs to establish connections between people, places and things such as mobiles, emails and landlines. It uses a simple single search entry box similar to that utilised by popular search engines, making it easier for the trace agent to copy and paste the information they know into a single field increasing efficiency.

Existing models employed within the collections and recovery sector only return successful matches if the input data used for the search is an exact match to the individual, i.e. if the end user is searching for a Benjamin Brown it will only return matches based on the exact input information and not any other variants of the name such as 'Ben'.

Rather than just returning exact matches the software will also return 'best fit' information too. This approach allows the results to be scored and ranked according to their similarities. Using the 'elastic searching' technology, Retriever will attempt to find who the user tells us they are looking for in addition to people we think they might be looking for based on similar details. With this capability we can provide the user with enough information to enable them to make more informed decisions.
