Callinan Mines Outlines Progress at Fox River

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 19, 2007) - Drill intercepts on the ongoing Callinan Mines (TSX VENTURE:CAA) / Bell Resources joint venture project in Fox River, Manitoba are confirming that mafic and ultra-mafic intrusions are present in the area of inferred faulting targeted by the exploration program.

"The presence of ultra-mafic rocks in these drill targets indicates that the target area is the correct environment for the formation of massive sulphide nickel deposits, as we had hoped," President Muzylowski stated, adding that several sulphide sections have been recovered, but declining to comment on potential metal grades.

To date 3 holes have been completed, containing mafic rock and sulphides in various concentrations and widths, and a fourth hole is currently in progress.

As spring approaches in Northern Manitoba, drill targets are being prioritized to ensure that the winter program intercepts all cold weather targets located by the airborne VTEM survey completed in February of 2007.

VTEM targets accessible from dryer elevations will be drilled during the spring / summer extension of the Fox River Drill program.

"We plan on continuing this program in to the spring and summer of 2007," noted project geologist Pat DeVeaux. "This will give us the opportunity to complete the 20 hole drill program that we have planned."

About Fox River

The consensus among geological professionals is that the Fox River area represents the best probability for a new discovery of a world class base metals ore body in Canada. The Fox River Belt is widely believed to be a potential host of an extension of the Thompson Nickel Belt. The Project encompasses over 200,000 hectares and contains multiple high priority Nickel/PGE targets.

The Fox River Program is overseen by Pat DeVeaux, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 who has reviewed and approved the contents of this release.
