Calling All Fame-Seeking Kids and Teens. It's Your Chance to Be the Next Canadian Superstar

Pickering Town Centre is Pleased to Present Superstar 101 - a Hollywood-Style Red Carpet Experience for Aspiring Celebrities. Featuring a Return Appearance by Canada's Next Top Model Cycle 2 Contestant, Gina Guimont

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 10, 2011) - The school of celebrity is officially in session! On March 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Lorna Murphy, Marketing Director, Pickering Town Centre will launch Superstar 101 in Centre Court. A senior representative from The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada will also be speaking at this event.

Exclusive to kids and teens, this March Break initiative runs from March 11, 2011 to March 18, 2011 and features a variety of fun, interactive celebrity experiences, such as, a You Tube Video Shoot and Contest where aspiring movie stars can show off their acting skills--while shooting a You Tube video to promote Pickering Town Centre's Gift Cards. Videos uploaded to the Centre's You Tube channel are automatically entered into a contest. The grand prize is a $1,000 Pickering Town Centre shopping spree.

Modeling 101, March 16, 2011 from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. Canada's Next Top Model Cycle 2 contestant, Gina Guimont, will share modeling tips, paparazzi poses, sign autographs, and answer questions about the modeling industry. Participants are invited to audition on the red carpet for a chance to walk the runway in a Pickering Town Centre fashion show on May 6, 2011.

Complimentary Paparazzi Photos are available on the red carpet for the duration of Superstar 101. Kids and teens are invited to strike a pose in their hottest superstar fashions. Hair and makeup advice available upon request.

While many kids and teens are off enjoying March Break, there are some who are coping with a life threatening illness. As a reminder, Pickering Town Centre is accepting donations for its on-going Wishing Well campaign. In return for a $2 donation, individuals will receive a special star on the Walk of Fame for the duration of Superstar 101.
