CallTower Delivers First Hosted-Voice/Data Solution for Businesses That Meets FCC's New E911 VoIP Requirements

Leading Provider of Secure, Scalable, Always-On™ Voice & Data Applications Now Combines New FCC-Compliant E911 Service With Advanced Messaging Solutions That Allow Companies to Communicate, Manage, and Support Customers Better

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 29, 2005 -- CallTower, Inc., the leading provider of Always-On™, scalable, enterprise-class hosted communications and voice/data telephony services, today announced that the company has delivered fully FCC-compliant E911 services and capabilities to its business customers in the U.S. that meet the FCC mandate of providing nationwide E911 service to customers using IP-systems.

CallTower met the new stringent FCC E911 deadlines and regulations, and automatically provided the new capabilities to existing CallTower growth enterprise business customers in all major metropolitan areas across the U.S., as part of the company's free ongoing service and support.

The need to develop standardized coverage criteria for the deployment of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) E911 emerged as a critical issue for the FCC in a May 2005 mandate. The FCC decreed that all VoIP services needed to be E911-capable by November 28, 2005.

CallTower had the foresight to include applications and services that met the requirements of the FCC, and deliver secure, scaleable voice and data -- based on the Cisco CallManager™ and Microsoft Exchange™ Server -- to growth enterprises across the United States. In order to meet the new FCC requirements, CallTower enhanced its existing E911 services and capabilities, coupled with the company's reliable, Always-On hosted services and applications, which allow mid- and large-sized companies to access voice, data and emergency services 24/7. CallTower allows business users to securely access E911 services from a PC, handheld device or phone from any location.

"CallTower automatically provides our growth enterprise business customers -- companies with between 50 and 15,000 users -- with free upgrades of our secure, compliant communications software and services that meet ongoing regulatory mandates. Growing businesses have depended on CallTower for the last five years to deliver reliable, cost-effective managed voice and data services that are Always-On -- and this includes being able to access any 911 service via phone, PC or handheld device, anywhere, anytime," said Mark Harris, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, CallTower. "The CallTower suite of hosted-PBX IP-based solutions and applications gives growing companies the secure, scaleable voice and data solutions that meet the requirements of the FCC and helps these companies be more competitive in today's economy, all from a single trusted source."

CallTower's E911 Capabilities

As part of its built-in capabilities for growing enterprises, CallTower uses the Intrado® V9-1-1® Mobility Service to deliver nationwide E911coverage. Through an agreement with Intrado Inc., CallTower has agreements with the major local exchange carriers (LECs) to interconnect with their 911 selective routers and to steer dynamic location information into their regional E911automatic location information (ALI) databases in the event of a VoIP 911 call. The interconnection agreements allow CallTower to deliver a VoIP 911 call directly into the LEC's 911 selective router and gain access to the dedicated 911 network. The ALI steering agreements allow the 911 call takers to receive the caller's location information at the time of a 911 call.

Most importantly, this service allows CallTower's customers to gain full benefit from the Intrado V9-1-1 Mobility Service's ability to provide caller location information to the call taker in the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) valid format required for effective emergency dispatch. The delivery of location information to the PSAP in an MSAG valid format ensures integration and accurate emergency response. CallTower is the only hosted-PBX, enterprise-class IP communications service and applications provider to offer this critical component, which is required for an effective VoIP E911solution.

CallTower's customers in all major metropolitan areas across the U.S. now have built-in E911services that have been automatically delivered free via CallTower's geographically dispersed, secure data centers. A small percentage of CallTower customers in rural, outlying areas will have the E911services by the second quarter of 2006.

About CallTower's Solutions

CallTower delivers hosted-PBX, T-1 and IP-based communications solutions based upon the Cisco and Microsoft infrastructure, with high-end features and applications not found in other IP products, to growing businesses throughout North America.

CallTower's IP services provide growing companies with enterprise-class reliability, a single point of support, productivity-enhancing features, a comprehensive scalable suite of vertical market applications, all communications hardware (including a T-1 line, wireless or wired, routers, switches, hubs, and phone handsets), Wi-Fi access, and 24/7 service for a fixed monthly fee. Growing businesses can now receive the same class of communications reliability and service traditionally reserved for Global 100 corporations.

The CallTower communications solutions also eliminate a company's need to maintain dedicated IT resources to manage the voice and data communications infrastructure. IT resources can be deployed to service other, more pressing tasks.

A company that uses the advanced CallTower communications suite can adapt the voice and data delivery format to the actual communications device -- which ensures that users instantly receive, manage and reply to important communications.
