Calyx Announces Increase in Size of Non-Brokered Private Placement

Calyx Bio-Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CYX) ("Calyx" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that, due to high demand, it has increased the size of its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement"). The Company now intends to issue up to an aggregate of approximately 5,348,334 units (each a "Unit") at a price of $0.15 per Unit to raise gross proceeds of up to $802,250.

All other terms of the Private Placement will remain as previously announced in the Company's news release dated June 25, 2013.

Closing of the Private Placement is anticipated to occur on or about July 4, 2013 and is subject to receipt of applicable regulatory approvals including approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. The securities issued will be subject to a standard four-month hold period under applicable Canadian securities laws.
