Camana Bay Selects Nortel IP Solution for Voice, Data Communications

Developer Dart Realty Expects Customer Benefits, Increased Revenues

GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS--(Marketwire - Aug. 13, 2007) - Residents and businesses in Camana Bay, the Cayman Islands' largest real estate development, will soon benefit from the very latest high-speed, high-bandwidth communications services, thanks to a converged IP voice and data network from Nortel(1) (TSX:NT)(NYSE:NT).

Dart Realty, which is developing this 500-acre master-planned community, has selected a Nortel solution to provide IP telephony, unified communications, audio conferencing, contact centers and other multimedia services such as webcasting.

Camana Bay includes a downtown center, shops, business offices, neighborhoods, schools, beach access and entertainment. Ronco Communications, a Nortel channel partner, is providing network installation and services. A staged rollout is already underway with completion scheduled for August 2008.

"We expect Nortel's solution to benefit our users by providing superior service without requiring investment in their own network equipment and services," said Dale Dennis, vice president, Information Technology, Camana Bay. "The economy of scale will allow our tenants to increase their profitability and reduce their network operating expenses."

"Nortel is providing Camana Bay with a network that will grow along with its business requirements, based on a unified platform that will allow its IT team to manage multiple applications from a single site and user interface," said Norberto Milan, vice president, Enterprise Networks, for Nortel in the Caribbean and Latin America.

The Nortel solution for Camana Bay will include Nortel's Communication Server 1000 IP PBX and Telephony Manager, CallPilot(1) Unified Messaging, Contact Center, Ethernet Routing Switches, wireless local area networking, and IP phones.
