Camber Corporation Acquires Veritas Analytics to Enhance Comprehensive Cyber Security Approach

HUNTSVILLE, AL--(Marketwire - October 13, 2009) - Camber Corporation, provider of cyber security, subject matter experts, engineering solutions, acquisition management, full-service education, and training to defense audiences worldwide, has acquired the Sterling, VA-based Veritas Analytics, a leading provider of mission critical all-source intelligence analysis and risk assessment services, for commercial enterprises and government.

The Veritas Analytics Acquisition comes just weeks after Camber acquired i2S, Inc., the Columbia, MD-based intelligence analysis and solutions firm. Both Veritas and i2S are part of Camber's National Security Group, based in Centerville, VA, and signal that Camber is achieving its goal to offer a comprehensive, failsafe approach to preventing cyber terrorism.

"Demand is mounting for multifaceted cyber security expertise, specifically the ability to assess and address both government and commercial vulnerabilities, and then disseminate policies and protection throughout both communities," said Bruce Schoemer, senior vice president for Camber's National Security Group.

To that end, Veritas brings substantial synergy to Camber's already established intelligence analysis and cyber security presence. Veritas' team of experienced intelligence professionals offers core capabilities such as data collection and analysis, counter-narcotics analysis, geospatial intelligence, and counter-terrorism support. Veritas' fully cleared employee base will facilitate Camber's continued expansion throughout the rapidly growing intelligence community.

"We are an employee-driven company, and are proud to have Veritas' team onboard," said Walter Batson, Jr., Camber's CEO. "The merging of our teams will provide commercial enterprises and the intelligence communities with the resources needed to implement overarching cyber security systems and policies."

Camber's timing for both the i2S and Veritas acquisitions indicates that the company is acting quickly to meet a critical demand, and that it has the ability to make the necessary moves required for extensive solutions.
