Cambodian Ventures Limited Commences Site Surveys on Two Properties in the Kratie Province of Cambodia

LOWELL, MA and PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 25, 2006 -- Cambodian Ventures Limited (PINKSHEETS: CMBV) is pleased to announce that it has commenced initial site surveys on two properties in the Kratie province of Cambodia.

A team of two geologists has visited two sites and collected samples from different locations on the properties. The samples are comprised of surface samples, as well as samples from 30 and 60 meters. The samples will be assayed for Gold and other minerals and will be analyzed and evaluated outside of the country. The geological team will review the historical and statistical site data that will help them to develop comprehensive exploration plans for the Company.

The survey work that is being done will be consistent with the guidelines established by the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101"). "NI 43-101" is the current Canadian regulation that governs the format and content for technical reports to be filed as part of a public disclosure process.

CEO Gary Fineberg stated, "We are pleased to have two geologists currently surveying two of our sites to ascertain the locations and extent of their mineralization. We also have a third site that we would like to study; however, this will have to be delayed a few months until after the rainy season."

The results of the surveys on the sites will take several weeks to be analyzed, studied and appropriately recorded. CMBV will report the results when the documents have been finalized and legally approved.
