Cameroon National Reaction to Arrival of TAMG Buses

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 1, 2006) - There has been positive public reaction to the delivery of Transnational Automotive Group, Inc. (OTCBB:TAMG) buses in Cameroon.

17 urban and 11 rural TAMG buses arrived 22 July, 2006 at the port of Douala in Cameroon. The arrival of the buses, that will provide the first public transportation in the capitol city of Yaounde in almost 15 years, drew numerous print and press reports and a positive public reaction.

Cameroon television carried video of the bus arrival, showing the buses as they unloaded from the ocean freighter BBC Germany. There were also print stories in the local press.

A 25 July Cameroon Tribune article by Bruce Mbeze noted that, "At first sight, one could appreciate the comfort, the air conditioning of the buses. Equally, the buses are equipped with television sets and surveillance cameras. This situation is new to Cameroonians because such security devices are commonly observed in Western countries. Besides officials of PTIC who were at the port to receive the buses, one could also see customs officials, law enforcement, and cargo handlers." PTIC is a Cameroon subsidiary of TAUG.

A local traditional chief, Robinson Tanyi, who was out of the country when the news broke, wrote to TAMG: "HURRAH and three cheers! What a relief to hear this ground breaking news. I can imagine the euphoria in Cameroon. Well done, and now the real business begins: the operational phase. I wish you all the best in carrying forward as planned. I had hoped I was there to savour a cup of champagne in honour of the occasion."

TAMG will conduct technical training and bus route trials during the month of August. The formal launch of bus service in Yaounde is scheduled to begin sometime in mid-September.
