Camiant Adds Six New International Mobile and Fixed Broadband Operator Customers

Marks International Growth With Additional Offices in Europe and Asia Pacific; Appoints Paul Hancock Managing Director for EMEA Operations

MARLBOROUGH, MA and MADRID, SPAIN and NANJING, CHINA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - Camiant, Inc., the leading provider of policy control and application assurance technology, today announced it has seen an increase in demand for its best of breed, pure-play policy control solution, particularly outside of North America, adding six new international broadband operator customers across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific since June 2009. Camiant's international customers now account for more than half its total deployments.

To support Camiant's international growth, the company announced it is expanding its market presence in both Europe and Asia Pacific with the opening of additional offices in Madrid, Spain and Nanjing, China. The company also appointed Paul Hancock, Managing Director for EMEA Operations.

The new customers include:

-- Selection by a major global mobile telecommunications group across its
worldwide footprint for mobile data services including roaming and
congestion control, with deployments underway in several countries,
-- Deployment by a European mobile operator to dynamically manage
broadband services based on user consumption levels including EU roaming
data usage, as well as to deliver several new service offerings,
-- Deployment by an Asia Pacific telecom operator to provide policy and
charging capabilities for Residential Voice over IP services, and
-- Use by an operator in the Middle East in support of SIP-based
    commercial VoIP services.

As broadband usage continues to increase exponentially worldwide, Camiant's Policy Control platform, fully compliant with 3GPP*'s Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) specifications, has proven to be an essential component of the broadband network, providing vital real-time intelligence and management of network resources, while creating an infrastructure for new revenue opportunities. European, Middle East and Asia Pacific operators are using Camiant's Multimedia Policy Engine (MPE) to provide special bandwidth and rating offers to more finely target particular market segments, or to dynamically manage network congestion in order to maximize network utilization and control capital expenditures.

In order to more directly serve its growing customer base and extend its regional reach to additional broadband operators, Camiant has added an office in Madrid in addition to the existing office in the UK. Both offices will provide sales and support resources and will be managed by Paul Hancock, newly appointed Managing Director for EMEA. Paul joins Camiant from Allot Communications where he was Vice President Carrier Sales for EMEA. Paul has over 14 years of telecommunications industry experience having held executive sales positions at Acme Packet, Sonus Networks and Nortel.

After a detailed evaluation, the company chose Nanjing as the preferred site to expand its presence in Asia Pacific. The Nanjing office will provide additional engineering and service resources to support the worldwide growth of the company and enhance the company's ability to continue to deliver innovation to broadband operators.

"This is a very exciting time to be joining Camiant as the company continues to win global customers with its best of breed policy control solution," said Paul Hancock, Managing Director for EMEA. "I am looking forward to providing exceptional localized and personalized support in the region to broadband operators as we continue to grow our global footprint."

"Camiant is the only policy control system built from the ground up to support both mobile and fixed broadband deployments. We continue to be selected by both mobile and fixed broadband customers because of our leadership in control plane technology and the tremendous value proposition we offer," said Ed Delaney, President and CEO of Camiant. "We are delighted to be in a position to extend our global reach and be closer to our existing and expanding customer base. We continue to provide new and innovative ways to intelligently manage network resources for the world's most demanding service providers' broadband networks."

With its expanded presence, Camiant continues to be well positioned to add new business while providing existing customers in the region with the customer service excellence they have come to expect from the company. With the addition of the Madrid and Nanjing offices, Camiant now has presence in seven countries worldwide.
