Camp Bow Wow® Hits the Big Five-Oh!

Doggy Day Care Franchise Opens 50th Location

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - Top dog day camp and pet boarding company Camp Bow Wow's bark got bigger today with the opening of its 50th doggy daycare and overnight camp.

Franchisees Nick and April Netley's Plymouth, Minnesota dog day care will feature the same fun-filled atmosphere and dog-focused amenities that have made the first 49 dog day camps so popular among pups and the people who love them.

Founder and CEO Heidi Flammang opened the first Camp Bow Wow in Denver in 2000, determined to create an atmosphere that's all about the dogs. A second location, in Broomfield, Colorado came shortly afterward; the company started franchising in 2003.

"As we continue to grow, we remain focused on creating a fun, safe place for pups to play," Flammang said. "We love your dogs almost as much as you do. That simple philosophy is fueling our amazing growth."

Camp Bow Wow dog day care centers boast the highest levels of fun and safety with All Day Play in indoor/outdoor play yards and Web-based Camper Cams for pup parents to check on their furry kids during the day.

Campers are separated by size and temperament into play groups where they can work off their energy running and playing with friends and head home tired and content at the end of the day. Overnight campers sleep to the strains of classical music in cabins with cots, fleece blankets and frozen campfire treats.

According to the American Pet Products Manufacturing Association, U.S. consumers spent $38.5 billion on their pets last year, including $2.7 billion on services including pet boarding and day care. Nationally, doggy daycare has become a $500 million-a-year business.
