Campaign for Education Center at The Wall, Featuring Colin Powell and Tom Selleck, Wins Telly Award for TV Worldwide and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund

Public Service Announcement PSA Series Produced by TV Worldwide and VVMF to Raise Money for New Vietnam Veterans Education Center Near The Wall, Captures Telly Award and Gets National Play via Broadcast, Cable and Internet TV Distribution

CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2009) - TV Worldwide, since 1999, a pioneering web-based global TV network, in cooperation with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), announced that the PSA Campaign the organizations produced to raise money for the new Education Center at The Wall has been awarded a prestigious 2009 Telly award. The six-PSA series features former Secretary of State and four-star General Colin Powell, Campaign Spokesman and TV Star Tom Selleck, General Barry McCaffrey, The Wall's founder Jan Scruggs and Gold Star Mother Ann Wolcott. It was unique in its ubiquitous distribution via broadcast, cable and Internet TV outlets thanks to assistance from the National Association of Broadcasters and TV Worldwide's Internet TV channel for veterans, USVets.TV (www.USVets.TV), where the PSA series can be viewed at this link, http://www.usvets.tv/vvmf_psas/.

"We wish to thank TV Worldwide and all those involved who helped make the production and distribution of these campaign PSAs such a success," commented Jan Scruggs, founder and president of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. "We're confident that this Telly award will generate even more media interest in these PSAs to help us get the word out on the importance of building the Education Center at The Wall."

The Education Center at The Wall is a visitors and education facility being built underground on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., near the Vietnam Veterans and Lincoln Memorials. The Center will give more context to visitors about those whose names are on The Wall, showcase some of the more than 100,000 objects left in tribute at The Wall and recognize this country's rich legacy of service by honoring those who served in all of America's wars.

"We are pleased and honored to have been selected along with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund for this distinguished award," stated TV Worldwide Chairman and CEO Dave Gardy. "I know I speak for our staff of award-winning professionals, who've won Tellys in the past, when I say that this one is our most treasured, because of its important production purpose in raising money for the Education Center at The Wall and the precedent it set in multi-outlet distribution via broadcast, cable and Internet TV. It was a pleasure to work with the VVMF staff and the on-camera talent."

TV Worldwide's USVets.TV Channel is dedicated to United States veterans of all services and their families. TV Worldwide and the USVets.TV channel sponsors salute America's brave men and women whose sacrifices have preserved our freedom and protected our national interests around the world. USVets.TV, (www.USVets.TV), archives live streaming media webcasts and satellite broadcasts that TV Worldwide produces at VVMF events such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day and other ceremonies to recognize the contributions of American veterans and highlight the issues of importance to them.

Viewers should have the free Windows Media Player installed to view the content on USVets.TV, including the Education Center PSAs.
