Campaign Launched to Bring Awareness to Veterans Week

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 5, 2015) - Lieutenant Colonel Allan De Genova has launched a campaign to bring awareness to Veterans Week from November 5-11. De Genova wants to honour the 5,500 Regular Force, 3,500 Primary Reserve, 1000 Rangers and over 1000 Civilian Employees throughout Western Canada as a part of the 3rd Division of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Lieutenant Colonel De Genova acknowledges that Remembrance Day has traditionally been the one day of the year that Canadians take pause and remember veterans and those who currently serve in the Armed Forces. This year De Genova is hoping to bring greater awareness to Veterans Week in the days leading up to November 11. "For the first time, all Honourary Lieutenant Colonels and Colonels will wear proudly their working uniform (CADPAT) during Veterans Week to honour the men and women who serve their country everyday either here in Canada or in other parts of the world," said De Genova. He goes on to say, "These brave individuals are our grandparents, parents, spouses, siblings, friends and neighbours. Canadian veterans are our heroes and their courage, service and sacrifice is admirable - we owe our freedom to them."
