Campana Systems Inc. Marks Its 25th Anniversary

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 28, 2013) - Campana Systems Inc., an award-winning international leader in information management solutions, is very pleased to announce its 25th anniversary. Campana consists of two focused divisions, GoldCare and AXIS. GoldCare, providing innovative and fully integrated software solutions for the home, community and long-term care sectors, is used by hundreds of organizations across Canada, Australia and New Zealand. AXIS offers a suite of integrated software and service solutions, ranging from Customer Relationship Management to a fully automated "hands-free" dispatch system, for many American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) affiliate clubs.

Campana was founded in 1988 by Grant Roberts and Brad Bell, both graduates of the University of Waterloo. Their first product, GoldCare, was initially created by Bell as a co-op work-term project for a billing system solution for a small retirement home in Bell's hometown of Owen Sound, ON. With this one client -- and an abundance of entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and broad experience -- Roberts and Bell opened for business in a small office on Victoria Street in Kitchener, ON on December 5, 1988. Jim Hardy, a University of Guelph graduate, joined the team in 1990 as Development Manager and third owner. Three years later, the AXIS suite of products was acquired from CAA Mid-Western Ontario. From the beginning, Roberts, Bell and Hardy emphasized service, excellence and long-term customer relationships.

To facilitate Campana's steady growth in both product offering and staff, the company moved to a larger office at the corner of Weber and Northfield in 1990 before relocating to a newly constructed building on Randall Drive in 1999, which is still home today. GoldCare expanded its healthcare division into the New Zealand market in 2002 and the Australia market the following year. To better support their growing client base there, an Australia office was established in 2005. Today, Campana employs more than 100 people in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

For 25 years, Campana has provided services based on its client-partner philosophy, which focuses on user input and ongoing research and development to provide the best solutions, support, and range of services. The company maintains this philosophy through active user groups, advisory committees, participation in strategic partnerships on technology, and dedication to a full-service approach.
