Camping World Announces Acquisition of Long View RV in Tampa


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jun 29, 2012) - Camping World, the nation's largest RV and outdoor retailer, today announced that it has acquired Long View RV Superstores, an existing RV dealership in the Tampa area. The location will be officially named Camping World of Tampa and the acquisition closing is scheduled for July 2012.

The new RV dealership is located on I-4 just minutes from the current Tampa Camping World location. Plans are to expand the new Long View location to be the largest retail facility in the company's almost 100 locations. The expansion will include a 14,000 sq. ft. Camping World Retail Store and service expansion to over 50 service bays. 

The RV Dealership will feature new and used motorhomes and towables from the finest manufacturers and brands including Winnebago Industries, Thor Motor Coach, Fleetwood, Dutchmen, Crossroads, Heartland, and Keystone.

This new Camping World facility will be supported by 13 Camping World RV dealerships and retail stores already in the state of Florida. Camping World is planning on acquiring the property for the new Tampa location in the next several months.

Camping World expects to open the new Supercenter in the Tampa area in July 2012. As the expansion begins, Camping World is pleased to have the current employees at the Long View location join the Camping World staff and will be adding additional positions for seasoned and professional RV sales associates, technicians, and retail support to assist at this new location. The company is also set to soon announce acquisition of additional RV dealerships in the local area. Camping World's goal is to add more quality manufacturers and brands, increase their presence in the market, and grow the workforce.
