Camping World in Calera, Alabama Honors Active-Duty Military and Veterans by Flying Vast American Flag

Flag Raising Ceremony Will Be Held on September 11 and Is Open to the Entire Community

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL--(Marketwired - Sep 8, 2015) - Camping World, the nation's largest RV and outdoor retailer, and Good Sam, the world's largest RV owners organization, today announced that they are continuing a tradition of honoring present and past members of our armed forces by installing a massive American flag at their Calera, Alabama RV SuperCenter. The 40x80' flag that will fly on a 130' pole is being installed as part of a project that Camping World and Good Sam began in February of 2014 to show their ongoing appreciation of America's veterans and active military members.

"With all the positive feedback we have received over the past year, we are elated to complete another installment of our large American flags at our SuperCenters across the country. It was our vision to continue the tradition of showing support and appreciation to our country and to those that have sacrificed so much to keep our communities safe," commented Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam and host of CNBC's The Profit. "The installation of this flag in Calera is just one of many we have erected in cities across the country and we have plans to continue installing flags at many more of our dealerships in the coming months."

The Camping World in Calera, which is located at 730 George Roy Parkway, will hold an official flag raising ceremony on Friday, September 11 at 4pm. All local military, veterans and the community members are invited to attend this event. A light lunch will be served prior to the ceremony, which will be attended by The American Legion Hall and soldiers from the local area to help raise the flag.

Currently the massive American flag flies high at 35 Camping World SuperCenters across the country. Other dealerships scheduled to receive the flags throughout the year include locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
