SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - Dec 17, 2012) -  Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- U.S. exports of steam coal to Canada have plummeted since Canada enacted a national policy to reduce the use of coal in its electric generation sector as a way to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Preliminary data for the first half of 2012 suggests that that steam coal exports to Canada have bottomed out.
