Canada Pavilion Coming to the BC Home + Garden Show

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - The Canada Pavilion, the Government of Canada's travelling exhibit, will be featured at the BC Home + Garden Show from March 2 to March 6, 2011.

"The Government of Canada is pleased to bring the Canada Pavilion to the BC Home and Garden Show this year," said the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women. "Our government is proud to offer the opportunity to Canadians and visitors to learn more about the government programs and services available to them."

The Canada Pavilion is a coordinated effort that brings together outreach and communications products from different departments under one corporate umbrella.

This year's theme is Canada's biodiversity, and visitors will be able to learn more about programs and services related to biodiversity and participate in various interactive games.

Several government departments and agencies will be present at the BC Home + Garden Show, including Parks Canada, the world's first national parks service, which will be promoting its 100th anniversary.Visitors to the Canada Pavilion will be able to learn more about the exciting activities being hosted at Canada's historic and national sites across the country, throughout the year, to celebrate this special anniversary. Other departments include Service Canada, Justice Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Canadian International Development Agency and Statistics Canada.
