Canada Pavilion Coming to the Newfoundland Home Show

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - April 29, 2008) - The Canada Pavilion will be traveling to the Newfoundland Home Show taking place from May 1 to 4, 2008.

"The Government of Canada is pleased to bring the Canada Pavilion to the Newfoundland Home Show for the second year in a row," said the Honourable Michael M Fortier, Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada. "The Pavilion provides an opportunity for Canadians to meet with representatives from their government, and it is also an excellent way for Canadians to learn more about their government's priorities."

Various programs and activities will be featured at the Canada Pavilion including the "Smart Roadster" showcased by Transport Canada's Advanced Technology Vehicles Program. Learn how this sports car can achieve 6.4 L/100 km in the city, and an impressive 4.3 L/100 km on the highway.

In addition, visitors will learn about Canada's contribution to the Afghanistan Mission and discover the Atlas of Canada's on-line collection of over 1,400 maps, and much more. You can also meet the Pavilion mascot, Bravo, who will be there entertaining the young and young at heart.

In 2008-09, the Canada Pavilion will be visiting ten Canadian communities from coast to coast. As the flagship of the Government of Canada's Exhibitions Program, the Pavilion has won a number of prizes since its creation in 2000, and provided information to more than six million visitors.
