Canada Post: Send Santa's letters now!

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 18, 2008) - Santa reminds children all across Canada they need to send their letters to him now! "As you can imagine, the North Pole is a busy, busy place right now," Santa said from the North Pole Post Office. "We enjoy reading and answering every letter we receive, so we want to make sure children get them mailed right away. I want to answer as many of those letters as possible before our big day!"

Each year, some 11,000 Canada Post volunteers help Santa with the more than one million letters and 45,000 emails he receives. Santa answers every letter he receives. However, to ensure a response is delivered before Christmas, letters to Santa should be mailed by tomorrow, December 19.

"Thanks to Canada Post's very special delivery to the North Pole, we're confident that as long as children have their letters in the mail by tomorrow, we'll be able to read those important wish lists and have our reply delivered in time for Christmas."

Kids and parents may also want to log on to Santa's special Canada Post website, where they can download a special Santacast message from Santa, play games and discover fun, kid-friendly holiday activities.
