Canada Post and the Union of Postal Communications Employees Reach Tentative Agreement

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 12, 2008) - Canada Post and the Union of Postal Communication Employees (UPCE) have reached a new tentative agreement. The contract is subject to ratification by the 2,140 members of the Union, a process expected to be completed by Tuesday, December 16. Picket activity may continue until the results of the vote are known.

Members of the UPCE, represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada, have been on strike since November 17.
