Canada's Government to Invest in Public-Private S&T Partnerships

Funds Earmarked for Saskatoon's Plants for Health and Wellness Cluster Initiative

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - April 17, 2008) - The Honourable Carol Skelton, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Rosetown-Biggar, on behalf of the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the National Research Council Canada (NRC), will announce an investment in NRC's Saskatoon-based plants for health and wellness cluster initiative.

In addition, Dr. Pierre Coulombe, NRC President and Dr. Paul Arnison, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Saponin Inc., will join the Member of Parliament in delivering remarks.
