Canada's Wavefront Partners With Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA)

VANCOUVER, CANADA and SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2009) - Wavefront, the community-based commercialization centre for B.C.'s 1,000 wireless and new media development companies, and the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) have announced a partnership to create business opportunities between their community members both drawn from the wireless and new media industries.

"Canada and Australia both have vibrant wireless and new media industries and this partnership formally brings our two communities closer together to better leverage our strengths and the natural synergies between our two countries," said James Maynard, President of Wavefront. "Additionally, Australia is a key player in the Pacific Rim economy where Wavefront has already secured industry relationships with powerful industry associations in Japan and Hong Kong."

"We're pleased to partner with Wavefront and look forward to building a bridge between our content producers, mobile application developers and theirs," said AIMIA's CEO, John Butterworth. "Wavefront's west coast location can provide a gateway to the North American wireless market for AIMIA members and our TradeStart participants who are looking to export to this region."
