Canada's West Marketplace: Information Bulletin

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2009) - More than 500 tourism professionals from around the world will gather in Victoria this week for the 22nd Annual Canada's West Marketplace trade show.

Each year, the trade show brings together British Columbia and Alberta tourism suppliers with tourism buyers from across the world in one location. Since its inception in 1989, the trade show has proven to be an effective forum for tourism businesses to promote their range of products to tour operators and wholesaler representatives from Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

This three-day event combines pre-scheduled appointments, social events and networking opportunities into an intensive, but highly productive forum. This year's trade show includes over 110 buyers representing 14 countries, and more than 375 B.C. and Alberta seller delegates. In total, more than 18,000 appointments will be conducted at this year's event in Victoria.

The Canada's West Marketplace trade show is a partnership between Tourism British Columbia and Travel Alberta and is an annual forum for promoting western Canada tourism products to international tour operators and wholesalers. Each year, the Marketplace alternates locations between Alberta and B.C.
