Canadian Coast Guard Seasonal Rescue Stations Resume Operations


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 29, 2014) -

The Canadian Coast Guard announces the reopening of its seasonal rescues stations in Bainsville (Ontario), Pointe-aux-Anglais (Oka), Beaconsfield, Longueuil, Sorel and Trois-Rivières. These bases will be in regular operation starting at noon May 30, 2014 until September 1, 2014, Monday to Thursday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Any marine emergency can be reported to the Canadian Coast Guard 24/7 by calling 1-800-463-4393 or 418-648-3599, *16 with a mobile, as well as by VHF radio on channel 16 (156.8 Mhz), by Digital Selective Calling (DSC/VHF) on channel 70 and by radio frequency MF 2182 Khz.
