Coffee Time now in Poland, Greece, China and the Middle East Attention: Business/Financial Editor, Food/Beverage Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 25, 2005) - Coffee Time, the all-Canadian coffee shop, has signed a Master Franchise agreement for Qatar.

Opening in the summer of 2005, local residents of this Middle Eastern country will get the chance to taste Coffee Time's signature, premium-roasted coffee, alongside Western-style sweet treats, soups and salads. As in Europe and in China, the menu offered at each location is a variety of local and Canadian coffee shop cuisine.

Coffee Time, founded in 1982 by Tom Michalopoulos, has grown from his first location in Bolton, Ontario to a franchise of more than 300 stores across Canada, in Greece, Poland, Beijing and now Qatar.

"The multi-cultural population in Canada has a vital role in our vision for exponential company growth," says senior vice-president, Dan Lepidas. "Newcomers arrive, live here for a generation and take an interest in adapting the Coffee Time concept to their country of origin." In addition to Qatar, the locations include:

? Greece: 14 stores currently in the Greater Athens region with an estimate of 15 more over three years. The menu is espresso-based specialty coffees, soups, pastries, sandwiches and salads.
? Poland: 3 stores with another 15 stores are projected within three years. The upscale ambiance and menu is similar to Greece.
? China: 3 Beijing locations - two at the airport and one in a centrally located shopping centre - plus 10 more estimated within three years. Menus are similar to Europe.
? United States, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait: franchise locations are currently being discussed.
