Duo will work alongside renowned architect Arthur Erickson

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 13, 2008) - Holborn, the developer behind Vancouver's Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, announced today that noted Canadian designers Yabu Pushelberg have been selected to design the project's hotel interiors. Fresh from completing the newly redesigned Tiffany & Co. in Toronto, The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Vancouver marks Yabu Pushelberg's first foray into Western Canada. The duo will work alongside project architect and Canadian icon Arthur Erickson.

According to Michael Beckley, Senior Vice President Lodging Development, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, this is the first time these three prominent talents will join forces.

"We are thrilled with the choice of Yabu Pushelberg as the design team for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Vancouver," says Beckley. "The combination of their skills with the brilliant architecture by Arthur Erickson raises the project to iconic status."

Founding partner Glenn Pushelberg says that he and his team are excited for the opportunity to create hotel interiors that complement Erickson's unique, twisting design.

"Erickson's twist will be an interesting design challenge, as each room will be different," says Pushelberg. "For the Ritz-Carlton guest it is a great selling point, as every visit will provide a new experience."

Other prominent hospitality projects completed by Yabu Pushelberg include the Four Seasons Hotel in Tokyo at Marunouchi, the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco and the W Hotel in Times Square, New York.
