VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 21, 2011) - In this week's report, the CFB published term sheets for 30 new proposed placements from the mining, oil/gas (termed metals and energy in the report) and technology sectors. Of those, 19 were for mining stocks, nine for oil/gas stocks, and two for technology stocks with the total value of new proposals reaching over $159m. Seven of these placements were designated a 'flow through' issuance and there were no new debenture offerings. The largest new public proposal was by Zargon Oil & Gas Ltd (ZAR.TO), which launched an offering consisting of 1.5m shares priced at $22.60 for proceeds of $33.9m in a placement led by Scotia Capital.

The CFB published term sheets for 72 placements that were closed during the week. Of these, 46 were for mining stocks, 17 for oil/gas, and nine for technology stocks, with the total value of these closings being almost $1,691m. 14 of these placements were designated 'flow through' issuances and one new debenture placement closed. The largest public closing was by Triangle Petroleum Corp (TPO.V) which issued 16.5m shares at a price of $7.08 for gross proceeds of $116.8m in a placement led by Johnson Rice & Co.

The CFB also tracked 14 amendments to placements, five cancellations and four overallotments, published at the end of the weekly report. To date, there have been 338 weekly reports created by CFB; backdated reports can be obtained by subscribers.
