Canadian Forces to recognize Sunnybrook for excellent care

Attention: Assignment Editor, Health/Medical Editor, Media Editor, Photo Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2009) - In a special presentation this Tuesday, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre staff will be recognized for the exceptional treatment and care provided to Canada's wounded soldiers.

At the recognition event, representatives of the Canadian Forces will formally thank Sunnybrook staff for their dedicated work in caring for and performing necessary follow-up surgeries for injured Canadian soldiers. The hospital has also educated Canadian Forces medical personnel on specialized trauma care for survivors of traumatic injuries, burns and amputations as well as trauma resilience training for chaplains, nurses and doctors.
