New Products and Services Improve And Simplify Life for Farmers in 2005 Attention: Agriculture Editor, Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 4, 2005) - Running a farm is more than a job, it is a lifestyle. And anything that makes managing that agricultural lifestyle easier is a welcome asset on any farm. With something for every aspect of the Ag life, helpful new products, services and technologies are all found in one place as Ontario's agricultural community gathers in Toronto for the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show, February 8th - 11th, 2005. With more than 500 exhibitors and in excess of 35,000 guests expected to visit, this exhibition is Canada's largest indoor farm machinery and equipment show. The show is at the International Centre (6900 Airport Road) from February 8th-11th, 2005.

Hosted by Rob Henderson and Andy Watson from CFCO radio, the exhibition offers educational seminars, special speakers and entertainment on its Centre Stage. The Guy's Ultimate Garage contest allows visitors to fill out a ballot and win all the contents of a dream garage, including power tools, generators and anything garage-related, worth more than $7,500. All this is on top of the many new products and services offered by exhibitors, just a few of which are mentioned below.

Travelling from Europe, Tyremart Agricultural Ltd. is showcasing a wide range of axles from 40mm unbraked stub axles through to full commercial braked axles. With three factories in Europe and a warehouse in the UK, the company is displaying a 28 ton carrying capacity sprung bogie, complete with 150mm square braked axles.

Ballagh Liquid Technologies is featuring several products including Hydro Engineering's latest manifold and Pro-Act's Manure Munching Microbes™. The Hydro Manifold has a three-point quick hitch manifold that easily hooks to your minimum till Sukup cultivator for injecting manure. The Manure Munching Microbes™ reduces manure odour, liquefies solids and adjusts nutrients while making a gentle, fast-acting fertilizer. It is safe, economical and easy to use, requiring a minimum of mechanical equipment - just surface aerators for the lagoons.
AltaGenetics' HEADSTART® colostrum product for newborn calves aids in the treatment of Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT). FPT is a condition resulting from insufficient antibodies being passed in colostrum from mother to calf after birth. This product is safe, proven effective, convenient and palpable, potent, and nutritionally balanced and complete.

The latest for combines and harvesters, presented by Argis 2000 Ltd, is the Axceller Kit rotor conversion kit that fits all existing Case Specialty Rotors 1688 and more recent models, as well as the new Harvest Rotor. The Axceller is easy to install and improves feeding into the rotor, taking away feeder house rumble in tough and heavy threshing conditions.

The Leon SS 585 and 755 Manure Spreaders are real time savers. Fast and efficient, these spreaders unload a uniform spread pattern of up to 4.8 tons a minute. This new generation of Leon's spreaders features an innovative hydraulic push off system that is low maintenance compared to the traditional "feeder chain" type spreader.

Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Limited is introducing a revolution in irrigation systems for pastures and paddocks. K-Line is a flexible sprinkler line that easy to move, simple to set up and affordable. K-Line suits properties from one to 1,000 acres and is so simple to assemble and install that many people choose to do it themselves.

Upper Canada Organic Products Inc. is showcasing several new products to help around the farm. The compact FlyWeb™ insect light is designed for use indoors, in residential and commercial areas. To assist with yellowjackets, UC Organic Products present Rescue! disposable and reusable traps. These traps won't attract beneficial honeybees and can be used from spring to fall.

Protekta's Uniteeth MkII is a teeth grinding machine that is quick and easy to use, causes less infection, has a rechargeable battery and meets animal welfare legislation. Specifically developed for grinding teeth of young piglets, this tool prevents the suffering and lasting damage often associated with teeth clipping and eliminates oral infection caused by broken teeth.

New to System Fencing is the GOE-Green Stable, a scientifically formulated ammonia/odour eliminator, all-purpose cleaner and sanitizer that is safe, natural, non-allergenic and biodegradable. Its formulation is tough on odours, harmful bacteria and organic stains but gentle on our environment as it contains the same ingredients that nature uses to rid organic debris from the earth's surface--enzymes.
Daclar™, Drylar™ and Vezlar™ are Lafarge Engineered Coatings' new product line of spray applied high modified elastomeric asphalt emulsion coating. These coatings produce a tough seamless membrane, engineered to give long lasting protection for concrete and metal structures and commercial, industrial and institutional roofing structures.

MSD introduces the Pro Free Stall for dairy. This free stall is adjustable in width and height with only the top bar needing adjustment if a longer stall is required. It includes a lower mounting pipe to deter cows from walking through the stalls and needs only one post per two stalls. It has a stronger construction, with every stall mounted to the floor for a longer lasting durability.
