Canadian International Farm Equipment Show Starts Tomorrow

Toronto Farm Show Celebrates 20 Years Attention: Agriculture Editor, Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ON, MEDIA ADVISORY--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 6, 2006) - Offering the best in technology for today's competitive farm market, all under one roof, the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show returns to Toronto for its 20th anniversary from February 7th-9th, 2006. The country's largest indoor farm machinery and equipment show runs at the International Centre (6900 Airport Road) and brings together the best in agribusiness from across North America. To kick-off this year's Show, Mississauga Mayor McCallion joins the opening ceremonies and ribbon-cutting at 10 am on the Tuesday morning.

Debuting at last year's show, the Ultimate Dream Garage contest is bigger and better this year - valued at more than $100,000. If the right combination to the safe is found, someone wins the whole garage, including the contents and the building, supplied by Future Steel Buildings. If the safe is not cracked, visitors can still win great prizes and get terrific ideas on how to build and design their own personal dream space. The contest is available to all who come to the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show during three days of the exhibition. All visitors are handed a ballot on entering the Show, which they fill out and drop at the Dream Garage display in Hall 5. As a name is selected, someone has the opportunity to try and crack the digital vault and win all the Ultimate Dream Garage. Never leave the comfort of your garage again, with toys and tools for every occasion and all the extras that go into creating your dream garage.

Each year both exhibitors and visitors to the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show look forward to obtaining the latest collector model tractor. This year's replica is the Farmall 450, the first wide front end tractor ever used for the collector models. All are 1/16 the size of the originals. To see the full-size version of the toy model, visitors need only find Charles Batt's antique tractor display in Hall 4 of the Show.

The Canadian International Farm Equipment Show is managed by dmg world media, an international publishing and exhibition company that produces more than 300 market-leading trade exhibitions, consumer shows and fairs each year as well as publishing more than 65 related magazines, newspapers, directories and market reports. The Show is sponsored by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the Ontario Retail Farm Equipment Dealers' Association (ORFEDA) and the Ontario Wholesale Farm Equipment Association (OWFEA).
