Attention: Agriculture Editor, Assignment Editor, Home/Garden Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA ADVISORY--(Marketwire - March 5, 2008) - The 14th Annual Canadian Knifemakers Guild Spring Show & Sale.

Returning to Canada by popular demand: the complete range of knives from internationally acclaimed Strider Knives, Chris Reeve Knives, and this year - Spyderco Knives!

At the 2008 CKG Spring Show & Sale, global knife purveyors, True North Knives, will be representing the complete range of Strider Knives, Chris Reeve Knives, and Spyderco Knives. All Spyderco Knives offered at this show will be tagged with special, unadvertised "Welcome to the CKG" prices. Each company will have a dedicated display manned by various True North Knives staff, including owner and world-renowned custom knife expert Neil Ostroff.

Strider Knives and Chris Reeve Knives have again graciously agreed to donate one of their knives to be raffled off at the show by lottery, with no purchase obligation. The Strider and Chris Reeve knives, engraved "CKG 2008", could possibly become treasured collectors items by the cognoscenti.

Other desirable giveaways such as T-shirts, ball caps, etc., will also be donated and raffled off to many lucky winners.

The world's premier knife and cutlery magazine, Blade Magazine, will also be again represented at this show. They will be providing the May issue of the magazine at no charge to all those who attend, and, on their behalf, True North Knives will also raffle off two 1-year subscriptions to the magazine! The many custom makers at the show will be displaying and selling a mind-boggling array of edged tools: from custom made kitchen carving sets to hunting knives, from fishing knives to folding knives - from the most mundane of cutting tools to the most exquisite pieces of edged art.

The 14th Annual Canadian Knifemakers Guild Show & Sale takes place Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel (formerly Day's Inn), 6257 Airport Road in Mississauga. Show hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm daily.

Custom knifemakers attending this year will include renowned tactical knife maker Greg Lightfoot from Alberta; Kirby Lambert from Saskatchewan; Brian Tighe, Eric Elson, and Bud Weston from Ontario, and the legendary art-knife maker, Wolfgang Loerchner - plus many, many others.
