Klassen will provide personal testimony on the impact sports have had in her life.

"It is an honour to help launch the Dar Al Kalima Sports Hall," says Klassen. "I hope this venue will be a springboard for personal growth and athletic accomplishment for many girls and women."

Both the sports facility and the Women's Sports Center have received support from Canadians through Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR). The sports hall is administered by a local Lutheran organization.

Ms. Klassen is available for interviews by phone or in person during or shortly after her visit to the Middle East.
