Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Appointment of Mario Barrafato as Chief Financial Officer

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - March 17, 2015) - Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust ("CREIT" or the "Trust") (TSX: REF.UN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mario Barrafato as Chief Financial Officer of the Trust effective March 30, 2015.

Mr. Barrafato is presently with DREAM Asset Management Corporation ("DREAM"). Since joining DREAM in 2001, he has been actively involved in the financial management of its platform and has served as Chief Financial Officer of several of their public entities, most notably DREAM Office REIT. Mr. Barrafato comes with over 20 years of senior management experience in corporate finance, financial reporting and capital markets.
