Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Voting Results From the 2014 Annual and Special Meeting of Unitholders


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 16, 2014) - Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust ("CREIT") (TSX:REF.UN) today announced the results of matters voted on at its annual and special Unitholders' meeting held on May 15, 2014 (the "Meeting"). The voting results for each of the matters presented at the Meeting are outlined below.

The total number of units of the Trust ("Units") represented by holders present in person or by proxy at the Meeting was 49,944,215 representing 72.35% of CREIT's total issued and outstanding Units.

1. Election of Trustees

The eight nominees for election as trustees of CREIT referred to in CREIT's management information circular dated March 26, 2014 were elected as trustees of CREIT to hold office until the next annual meeting of Unitholders or until their successors are elected or appointed, subject to the provisions of CREIT's Declaration of Trust.

Deloitte LLP, Chartered Accountants, was re-appointed as auditor of the Trust to hold office until the next annual meeting of Unitholders at a remuneration to be fixed by CREIT's Board of Trustees.
