Canadian Spirit Resources Inc. New Director Joins the Board

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 27, 2007) - Canadian Spirit Resources Inc. ("CSRI" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SPI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rudolf Cech, P. Eng. of Calgary, Alberta as a new director of the Company.

Mr. Cech has more than thirty years experience in the Canadian and international energy industry specializing in reserves estimation and evaluation studies of petroleum and mineral properties. In 1970, Mr. Cech joined Sproule Associates Limited (formerly J.C. Sproule and Associates) becoming a director of the firm in 1980 and serving as Vice President of its international division for a number of years. Having retired from Sproule Associates in June 2006, Mr. Cech is currently president of a private consulting company.

During his successful career with Sproule Associates, Mr. Cech supervised and managed a number of exploration and development projects and conducted regional and local geological studies in Canada, the United States and worldwide. He has acted as an expert witness concerning oil and gas and mineral reserves and has presented several papers on the development of coalbed methane projects.

Mr. Cech is a member of the Petroleum Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.

The Company proposes to grant Mr. Cech stock options to acquire 75,000 shares subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Issued pursuant to the terms of the Company's Stock Option Plan, these options will have a term of five years and an exercise price to be set at the closing price of the Company's shares on November 28, 2007.

CSRI is a natural resources company focusing on the identification and development of opportunities in the unconventional gas sector of the energy industry. The mission of the Company is to develop 1 tcf of natural gas from unconventional resource plays in western Canada. The Company has identified a 1.8 tcf resource play, assembled a unique, high working interest land position in over 42,000 gross acres (of which 40,000 are located in British Columbia) and is currently evaluating the productive capability of its principal resource property at Farrell Creek, British Columbia.
