Canadian Tourism Commission Adds Sunshine Village to Signature Experiences Collection

BANFF, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Nov. 26, 2013) - Sunshine Village Ski Resort is the latest tourism business to be accepted into the Canadian Tourism Commission's (CTC) Signature Experiences collection, as new members were announced by the country's national tourism marketing organization today.

The Sunshine Village Historical Snowshoe and Fondue Tour, as one of the newest members in the collection, will provide travellers a glimpse of region's storied past while offering up distinctively Canadian vistas in a pristine alpine environment.

"With Sunshine's unique location in Canada's oldest national park, we are able to deliver an impressive winter experience that will resonate with both local and international visitors," begins Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer, Sunshine Village Ski Resort. "The Canadian Signature Experience Collection reflects a stamp of quality that the international tourism marketplace recognizes, and we are pleased to add our world class resort to the list of tourism businesses included in this prestigious marketing initiative."

"Canadian tourism entrepreneurs do an excellent job ensuring visitors explore everything our country has to offer," said the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) (Agriculture) in a CTC press release announced earlier today. "The Canadian Signature Experiences collection recognizes truly authentic Canadian experiences that entice travellers and position Canada as a destination of choice on the world stage while creating jobs and growth here at home."
