The CTTC is a non-profit organization with over 50 years' experience of learning through play. The CTTC is dedicated to testing toys and providing families with the information necessary to make informed purchasing choices. "This year's top picks reflect stylin' toys that provide substantive play for imaginative children," says Leigh Poirier, CTTC Executive Director.

Over 1,000 of the Council's toy experts - children - our dynamic testers, play all year round testing hundreds of toys. The Council's specially trained volunteer families evaluate and rate toys for safety, design, function, battery consumption, durability, ease of assembly and most importantly, play value.
