CANADIAN WOMEN'S OPEN - MEDIA DAY INVITE

Media invited to play golf at Glen Arbor Golf Course Attention: Sports Editor, Travel/Tourism Editor HALIFAX--(CCNMatthews - May 17, 2005) - 2005 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open - Media Day
Glen Arbour Golf Course
Halifax, Nova Scotia
July 11-17th, 2005

The following is a reminder and revised itinerary with regards to Media Day for the 2005 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open, conducted by the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA).

Media Day is set for Tuesday, May 24th at Glen Arbour Golf Course with a news conference scheduled for 11:00 am (Atlantic time) followed by a light lunch and a round of golf.

We are pleased to invite you to join us at Glen Arbour Golf Course to meet Canadian LPGA Tour player Lorie Kane as well as our defending champion and three-time Canadian Women's Open winner, Meg Mallon.

Originally, Meg Mallon was scheduled to be at Glen Arbour for the Media Day however, due to scheduling challenges she will now only be available to answer questions via teleconference. However, Lorie Kane will be in Halifax at that time and has graciously accepted the invitation to attend Media Day and field questions about the 2005 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open.

For media unable to attend in person, a teleconference has been arranged through the RCGA. To call into the Media Day news conference, dial 1-800-814-4941. When prompted by the operator, please select Canadian Women's Open Media Day Teleconference.

Media are invited to attend an 11:00 a.m. (Atlantic Time) media conference featuring Lorie Kane, Meg Mallon (via teleconference) and officials from the RCGA, BMO Financial Group, and Glen Arbour Golf Course. A light lunch will be served immediately after the news conference, followed by a round of golf (shotgun start) at 12:45 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience one of the Nova Scotia's most beautiful and challenging courses in the same layout the pros will play. Following golf, please join us in the clubhouse for cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres.

Please click on the following link to RSVP and indicate availability no later than Thursday, May 19th.

The RCGA will also be providing full transcripts following the media conference. Transcripts can be found on the RCGA website at www.rcga.org following the conference.

For those media registered to attend the conference and play golf, you will be notified as to your golf grouping upon arrival at Glen Arbour on the morning of May 24th.

This is sure to be an exciting start to one of Canada's premier golf championships and I hope that you will show your support by joining us for an afternoon of golf and the opportunity to meet our defending champion.
