CANARIE Elects New Board

Canada's advanced network organization guided by leading thinkers from Industry and Academia

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 30, 2008) - CANARIE Inc.'s 2008-09 Board of Directors was elected at the organization's 16th Annual General Meeting held at the University of Victoria.

Chair: Mark Whitmore, Dean, Faculty of Science, University of Manitoba

Vice-Chair: Jim Roche, Former President and CEO and Board Member of CMC Microsystems; former President Tundra Semiconductors Inc.

Secretary-Treasurer: Louis Savoie, Regional Vice President, Enterprise Accounts, Bell Canada

Two new members were also elected, Kim Devooght, Vice President, Public Sector at IBM Canada and Lynn Sutherland, President and CEO of Cybera Inc.
