Canary Redefines Home Security With Retail Debut of Record-Breaking Crowdfunded Product

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 25, 2015) - Canary today announced the much anticipated launch of their award-winning home security product with major retailers throughout the U.S.

After a record-breaking Indiegogo launch and pre-order campaign, Canary has shipped tens of thousands of units to 78 countries. These early users have demonstrated a remarkably high level of engagement: the average Canary user checks into the app almost four times a day, and within the first month of using the product watches over 50 minutes of live video.

Canary is now poised for one of the largest U.S. retail releases of a crowdfunded product, debuting with four initial retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, The Home Depot, and Verizon Wireless. An international rollout is planned for later this year.

"The home security industry has lacked any notable innovation for decades," said CEO and co-founder Adam Sager. "In an industry that's notorious for false alarms, excessive fees, and unnecessary complexity, Canary offers a simple solution to help people feel safer and smarter about their homes. Canary is now available at the top retailers in the country, making it easier for everyone to connect to their families and their homes."

Canary has also confirmed eligibility for the State Farm Home Alert Discount program. State Farm customers with a Canary device may qualify for an insurance discount up to 7%.

Retail price for Canary is $249, and the product can be found at all retail partners or at store.canary.is.
