Cancana Commences Soil Sampling on Dash Property

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 1, 2011) - Cancana Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CNY) (PINK SHEETS:SORSF) (the "Company" or "Cancana") announces that it has commenced soil sampling on its Dash Property in Lillooet, B.C.

Cancana, in discussions with a 3rd party Contractor, agreed to the initial recovery of a soil sampling of 208.7 kilograms or (460 lbs), in weight. This sample was retrieved from the "75m zone" of the Dash Property. The sample was then transported and tested in the Contractors facilities.

The Contractor has a proprietary mobile soil sampling, testing and gold recovery system that uses no deleterious chemicals and recycles water for its processing systems and is able to recover up to 95% of the native gold present. The gold recovery system will capture very fine grained native gold sized less than 125 microns as well as greater than 125 microns. The initial soil sample was processed remotely using this system and the results of this initial soil sample were as follows;

Initial testing of the 208.7 kilogram soil sample demonstrated results of between 4 to 5 grams of gold (equivalent to 0.56 to 0.7 ounces per ton).

This recovery will now be fire assayed by an accredited assayer to determine its exact weight.

Cancana and the Contractor have now agreed to obtain a larger soil sample of approximately 2 tonnes in order to confirm initial results and establish the commercial viability of the use of this proprietary gold recovery system. It is intended that the soil sample will be obtained in advance of bad weather and may be processed remotely this year. Results will be provided when available.

The Dash Property comprises of 5,386.93 hectares and is located 105 kilometres northwest of Lillooet, British Columbia at the headwaters of Dash and Relay Creeks. The Dash Property features 5 gold bearing mineral zones (defined by historic (1982 and 1988) and recent (2009) diamond drilling, geochemical analysis of rock chips in outcrop, and soils at 50 m grid spacing within the 'A Grid'):

1) 75 m, 2) 65 m, 3) 25 m, 4) Road, 5) Spine.

Note: All 5 zones range from 25-75 m wide and 100-300 m long.

An N.I. 43-101 report dated May 14, 2010 on the Dash Property is available at Cancana's web-site: www.cancanacorp.com (please follow the: Projects-Dash-Presentation tabs).
