In honour of Developmental Service Worker Appreciation Day, Rick Nicholls MPP joins frontline support workers on the job

On Tuesday, March 11, local frontline workers in developmental services will host a visit to their workplace by Rick Nicholls MPP. The direct support workers are members of Local 3137 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE).

Rick Nicholls, MPP for Chatham-Kent-Essex, makes the visit in recognition of Developmental Services Worker Appreciation Day in Essex County.

CUPE marks Developmental Service Worker Appreciation Day each year to highlight the vital supports and services that direct support workers provide to people with developmental disabilities throughout the community.

CUPE represents 8,000 direct support workers in developmental services in Ontario.
